Kelcey Schmitz, MSEd

Kelcey Schmitz is the Assistant Director of Training and Technical Assistance at the University of Washington SMART Center.

She also leads the School Mental Health Supplement to the Northwest Mental Health Technology Transfer Center, a SAMHSA funded project supporting the school mental health workforce in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Kelcey has been involved in many Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports efforts across multiple states. This included providing training, coaching and evaluation to schools, districts, families, and community organizations to support the social, emotional, and behavioral strengths and needs of students within an MTSS framework.

She has extensive experience leading district and state-wide MTSS implementation. Kelcey has a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Kansas.
